About
Miss Hanover County's Teen
Lexie Hovey is a high-achieving student, elite dancer and health advocate who proudly serves as Miss Hanover County's Teen. Inspired by her brother's diagnosis with Type 1 diabetes, Lexie founded her Community Service Initiative, Turning Type One into Type None, in partnership with Breakthrough T1D.
Lexie is an honor roll student, a member of the National Honor Society, and a participant in her school district's talented and gifted program. She trains extensively as a dancer and has attended elite summer intensives with organizations including the Joffrey Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, the Royal Ballet of London and Richmond Ballet. She has also performed in productions with professional ballet companies across Virginia.
In addition to dance, Lexie serves as captain of both her sideline and competition cheer teams, helping lead her school to district and regional championships. She is passionate about using social media as a positive platform to promote kindness, share health education and celebrate the sisterhood of the Miss America Organization.
Lexie plans to pursue a career as either a professional dancer or a biomedical scientist. As Miss Hanover County's Teen, she is committed to using her platform to educate, inspire and advocate for a future free from Type 1 diabetes.
